A Study on the Effectiveness of Art-oriented Convergence Arts therapy Program for Improving Problem Behavior in ADHD Children

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of art-oriented convergence art therapy for ADHD children in the first graders to fourth grade of elementary school. The subjects of this study were 4 children with ADHD at Children Center at E Region located in D City. The program was performed total 16 sessions, 2 sessions a week from September 3rd, 2019 to October 29th, 2019. In case of qualitative evaluation, the works and the observation contents of session participation were analyzed with the in-depth interview and the stepwise behavioral change analysis. The response variables through the art-oriented therapy area was 3 areas of concentration of attention, over-concentration and impulsiveness. Collected with the pretest and the post test and were analyzed with T-test of SPSS Win 25.0 Statistical Program. In the results of this study, the art-oriented convergence art therapy showed the statistically significant result in all areas of the improvement of problem behavior in the children with ADHD from the pretest to post test. In the follow-up research, for the generalization and the objectification, the in-depth research, which the research subjects are added, is required.
